<description>pirates killed the radio starA set of three posters and an accompanying website designed to communicate the concepts behind Public/Pirate Community Radio, a project submitted by Andres Colubri, Patrick Tierney and David Elliot to ISEA 2009 at the University of Ulster, UK. Public/Pirate Community Radio is a prototype for an ad hoc mesh network of micro-powered radio transmitters (Summer 2009).

<description>the bay: for sale Buy the Bay is a collaborative project that reframes our favorite beach experiences as a line of limited-edition products. Each is available to own, and 100% of the proceeds from its sale benefit Heal the Bay and the continued efforts to preserve that experience. Launch the site at buythebay.org.

We created a range of products that included the Perfect Wave (a bottle filled with water taken from famous Southern California surf spots), All the Time in the World (an hourglass filled completely with sand), The World's Tallest Sandcastle Starter Kit (a giant shovel), and Sound of the Sea (a hand-blown glass conch shell you can hold up to your ear.)

The local community got involved. Doc Lausch helped us bottle Huntington Beach's perfect wave. Liz Marks helped us blow glass seashells. A Fine Frenzy played our event. Chef Rafael Lunetta cooked us a dish and helped us jar his favorite sea salt.

We even managed to get some good-looking celebrity friends to help us make an infomercial.
