A solution to the yearly task of organizing and branding the department’s senior exhibition, including designing all aspects of its identity for print/collateral/web. Because any work is inherently a representation of who we are, "Self Portraits" was an invitation to revisit all that we’ve done as a reflection and refraction of how we see ourselves now. We hoped the show would be the culmination of a process of exploration, examination and expression begun four years ago.



After choosing the theme, we used the lab lobby as a bulletin board, covering it with fliers, invitations to submit and other announcements, until their layers detailed a process all their own. (Additionally, in keeping with the economic considerations of 2009, we kept printing costs to a happy minimum.)
